My Rhinorack cargo box is dope

I have a 2012 CMS with factory bars, I did some quick measurements before ordering and talked to a sales rep - I was worried I couldn't open the rear cargo hatch with the rack installed, but it was no problem. Super-easy install on the factory bars, 5 min.

This is the box I got, it's gloss black, has 15 cu ft of cargo (like 2.5 suitcases), and can hold up to 190cm skis! In general, a length of 76in or less ought to fit, I think. Just call the company and ask if they don't have a fit guide for the CM yet.

I could probably fit a single bike rack on the OEM bars WITH the box installed, but I haven't bought one yet.

thanks dean, that is a very nice box, with the oem bars being under 200 bucks on ebay that just might be the way to go. any idea if the thule atlantis 1600 box mounts as well ? and are you able to keep an antenna on or use a stubby with the cargo box on ?

Hey man, I looked at that Thule Box as well, and they have a fit guide that covers the countryman for cargo boxes at:

http://basilicon.ipapercms.dk/Thule/...t/ViewPDF.ashx

not too many of their boxes are guaranteed to allow the rear cargo door to open, but the Atlantis 1600 will. It's about the same dimensions as the Rhino Rack I got.

As far as the antenna, the normal one has to go, but I think a stubby might fit, haven't tried it yet. Good hunting!

I spent about 30 minutes today trying to remove my entire roof rack system (the cross bars and the feet that attach to the roof). Talk about the worst instruction booklet ever. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get those things off. I gave up.

Pretty sure you're in the wrong place. This thread is about the countryman.

I misplaced the instructions for the base CM base roof rack. Do the instructions indicate where to place the front and rear rack along the rail? Could someone confirm location?

I found a post saying "The Mini user manual for the bars says the bars are supposed to be 260mm(10 1/2 inches) from the front on the rail and then 705mm (27 3/4 inches) between front and rear bar."
