Where to buy (gold) stripes?

I'm finally ready to put some stripes on MC, and after 4 months I still can't entirely make up my mind on what type. I think this is because I haven't found too many pictures of gold minis with stripes and its hard for me to visualize. I absolutely love my gold color, but I don't feel like gold is a sporty color. So my concern is that some of the stripes are just too sporty my MC.

So, (at the moment) I would like to do a black offset stripe on the bonnet and boot, and would love if I could do a gold one on the roof. However, I can't seem to find the offset roof stripe in gold! Any suggestions on where I can find it? Especially cause I need a gold that is close in color to the MC metallic gold paint?

Doesn't he look naked with an empty hood??

Stunning!! I just stared at the photo in awe at first. I need a vision that will look half as good as that and I'll be set. Mine has the flat black gas cap too so I'm off to a good but slow start.

I would guess that a sign/vinyl shop could match your gold exactly and help you with the roof stripe. The roof stripe should not be complicated like the hood, which has odd bends that make it hard to lay a straight stripe.

I was going to suggest the "u" stripe and there it was already shown. Its not to sporty but fills the hood just right for gold. Good job jienajohn!

Hi Kello,

I always think MINIs look naked without a bonnet scoop or stripes. . .

I just saw a posting by a vendor on this site. On the NAM home page, under vendors, VinylStyles advertised a new site of their own, so I checked it out. They offer custom services, so you may want to see if they could match the gold for a roof stripe. I am also pretty sure I read a posting by one of our fellow MINIacs that said Vinyl Styles did a great custom wrap for part of the dash.

good luck!

If you can see clearly on mine i used the carbon fiber decal, looks much more awesome than just a plain black.

Yesterday i also wrapped the pillars, which is a must do.

That looks great! I really like the blacked out side panel, I've been thinking of doing that on my Chili Red Cooper.
