R56 aftermarket/projector/halo headlights?

Does anyone know if any manufacturers are planning on coming out with aftermarket headlights for the R56's? They're are several nice ones out for the R53's but none for the 2nd gens yet.

Have been looking myself but haven't been able to find some. Try Ceasar at www.lightwerkz.net. He makes kits that you can buy so you can mod your existing lights and they're really good stuff. If we can get enough people maybe he'd start making some specifically for our cars. I used his kits on my STi and they were awesome and very high quality!

The Joey Mod really isn't doing it for me. It looks like someone cracked open the headlights and spray painted the inside...

Sweet guys, glad to see that there is more interest. If we can get some more people that want in, I could talk to Ceasar and see what he can do for us. He does HID retrofits as well for anybody that is looking to upgrade from the crappy halogens. Post up if you're interested!!

I would be interested in a HID retro.

I know the cost will be high though as they generally are. I wouldn't mind just a pnp system as the stock halogen casings are decent at cutoff. (someone else on here posted pics of his pnp HIDs).

A retro would be $300+ for the parts. A retro is well worth the cost over a drop in kit. I know the cutoff is decent on the stock halogens but man nothing like this (one headlight installed in the picture):

I could do it, (done before) but I would need a decent writeup.

I'm not afraid to yank that housing open after baking, it's all the extra wiring involved as previous cars were much simpler in their "bulb checks"

Ok I will work on the writeup. It was really easy. One the headlight is baked open then dremel out the back where the old bulb went, until the new projector fits in the rear, tighten it down with the supplied nut and aim as best as possibly then use the factory adjustments for fine tuning. Electrically, it all plugs together and fits within the stock housings. From the rear of the housing the stock harness plugs in but inside the plug that goes to the H13 bulb is used as the input for power and hi-beam signal for the ballast. Out of the ballast is the wire to the D2S or H1 (which projector you choose) and plugs intot he HID bulb and then connect the hi/low harness to work the moving cut off shield. Put together and blissful brightness.

If you want to just purchase you can check out Black Flame Customs, I think another member has used them, but they are a little $$$.

here is the link to their R56 headlights:

Sounds about right. I'm guessing you didn't need those "eliminators"?

I just sent him a message. I'm not sure if there is that much interest yet that would make him start making these for our cars. I'm going to ask if he still has kits avaliable and what diameters.

Okay, so I talked to Ceasar and he might be on board. Does anybody know the diameter of the ring that circles the turn signals on the halogen headlights and the ring that circles the xenon headlights?

I need to know the diameter of the circles in the lights first. I haven't had the chance to crack mine open yet. Anybody?
