Anyone have details on removing the side mirrors on a Gen 2 mini. I have the Euro anti blind spots coming from the UK next week and need to remove the old mirrors.

Sorry don't have an answer for you, but most cars, you just pop the trim plate off on the interior side and you'll see an electrical connection and a few bolts.

 

I've never had to remove the mirrors from my Mini but I'm guessing all you have to do is fold the mirrors and then remove the 2 torx head screws that are revealed. Once the screws are removed you should be able to lift the mirror off the door and disconnect the electrical connector. That's the way I did it on my old Miata. If you have to remove the inner door panel, the BMW engineers should bow there heads in shame for such a poor design.

 

Actually I need the info for removing the mirror glass. Not the whole mirror.
