To be honest, it looks like a five-foot-paint job on the mini logo. are those bubbles or clumps?

If this is your first try, Great job! plasti-dip is, and is not forgiving.
It wont run as easily as spray paint, but it will clump... making it look very crappy. the key is distance; Too far, and you'll have to coat it 30 times. too close, and it clumps and runs.

Also, i don't know if you took it off the car or not, but if you did not, its way easier to do it off the car than on. end result is nicer too.. and you dont end up with edge lift like you have. or you tape, spray like hell, and untape after spraying in about 15 seconds.

*Overall*, good job, the front logo is a bit eh... everything else looks good. but i know how crappy the iphone cam is.

yeah the emblem is not even, its not obvious from far.. door handle n side scuttle are good.. how do u take the emblem off? i had a hard time doing the circle( how do u cover up the mini logo so that it wont get sprayed? i used painter tape and when i peel it off, some of plasti dip came off with it)) .. i redo 3 times already..

this says it should pop off:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ini-badge.html

so does this:
http://www.mini2.com/forum/second-ge...e-removal.html

use painters tape, a sharp razor, a steady hand. Take all the time you need to tape up. Ensure that you can remove it quickly though.

After your done spraying like mad, you need to get the tape off as quickly as possible to avoid lift off. You seriously have like 8-10 seconds before the xylene(paint thinner(THANK Zeus For a tough clear coat!) in the plasti-dip) evaporates. It takes skill, and practice.

Do yourself a favor. Go to home depot and buy a bunch of torx bits. Most "Chrome" on the car comes off with these, or long metric allen keys. Spry them off the car, you wont have to worry about tape than, unless your painting stripes on the car (like my sig pic).

Door handles are not worth it. get vinyl. Plastidip peels off quickly unless its super think, and when its thick, it looks like trash.

Joey mod, use black matte enamel. Not plasti-dip. I have to take mine apart again due to the summer heat making it bubble.

Plasti dip is wonderful stuff for temporary fun. long term, meh... youll get maybe a year before it starts looking bad.

If you can get the pieces off, it is definitely much easier. Otherwise, it takes a lot of patience and a very sharp exacto knife to remove the tape. I started out with plasti-dip on the handles, but ended up buying the covers from aestheticreations.net for them and the emblems. The plasti-dip is holding up nicely on the grille, headlight rings and belt line, but I figure I will have to re-do it at some point. I had no luck at all with the belt line tape, but a lot of people swear by it.
