Interior/Exterior The $2 Wiper Delete Kit
How hard is it to just wipe the snow away with a snow brush in the winter which you are supposed to do for saftey on all the window before you drive. Using the wiper on iced or wet/heavy snow will likely damage the wiper motor or arm If you put a nice coat of way on that rear window then the rain will just bead off it and the defroster will keep snow from staying on there.
To the OP, great write up Thanks.

Both from Lowes, a 1" plastic hole plug, and a GM automotive trim fastener (for the water line). Each packet comes with 2ea, so you can do 2 wiper deletes. A little black RTV under the lip of the hole plug before popping it in, and a little cleanup on the glass with some WD40 (excess RTV).
Parts for this project at Lowes:
1" Plastic Hole Plug, 2pk, $1.39, p/n 139483
GM Automotive Trim Fastener, 2pk, .68cents, p/n 138211
RTV Silicone (your preference)

Damn, haven't been back in this thread for a very long time...and I busted a gut when I read this!
Glad it worked out, it's a very clean and cheap mod...and doesn't look ghetto!
I had the $25 kit on my list of things to get when my MINI arrives. Thanks for saving me 23 bucks! Looks great and where I live we don't have to worry about snow! In the Outmotoring description for their wiper delete they call the wiper 2 and a half pounds of pure ugly! I agree. I might feel differently if I had to drive in snow all the time, but it was about 90 degrees here today! Hell, it hardly even rains!
so my window was broken into and the bolt on the motor had seized to the motor itself. i dug up this old thread and did the mod, great idea! i also drilled a hole and put a small nozzle in the hose and well look below to see the results lol
Have you measured how far it shoots? With a 1/4" drip line connector, I measured about 15 feet. Let the pissing contest begin!

Mine was right about the same not sure what I used I just found it at home and it fit so I put some silicone on it and its holding lol. I have been tempted to use it on a few people already but I have been able to hold back for now lol
I have no idea how you guys can actually even think about doing this!!
The ole R50 I have kicks up so much crap that I regularly use the rear window wiper haha.
If I could I would do this though, very clever.

It would be a lot of tubing but give a shot. It can be done

I was thinking or relocating the motor into the engine bay, as I have some room after removing the factory snorkle. I am still in the decision making process, so we shall see. I live in AZ so this would be a good mod for the heat.
