We bought Sparking Silver Mini with White Top...no choice.

I thought Black Top may be better, but all the other options we want only have White Top.

I like Cooper Flags with Burberry stripes, but I am not sure they really match Sparking Silver color.

To paint to vinyl? Post your recommendation please.

 

Vinyl has come a long way .... and is some pretty tough stuff. You can get ANYTHING printed on vinyl and wrap your roof. Vinyl wrap will give your paint some protection and is completely removeable.

I also have a sparkling silver with top sparkling silver.I debated whether to do something different on my top.You don't see a whole lot of the sparkling silver which gives it its unique color.I have people telling me don't change a thing.By the way it never looks silver too me more of a khaki color..One thing I do really like is the English Oak intererior really adds some character.It's kinda cool how you can vinyl and customize the top.Although I think (my opinion)sometimes you can ruin a good thing and have an overkill.you may want to sell it in time and it may deter the sale Just my 2 cents.

 

I think you could get away with the burberry stripes on sparkling silver.
If you have a color printer, print out something in the burberry print and then take it out to see how it looks with your car! (Take a picture for us!)

As for vinyl vs. paint... If you are just going to get it 1 solid color and you are 100% percent sure that's the way you want it then go with paint. But if you have any doubt that you might want to change it again someday or if you want a design put on it, vinyl all the way!

 

Great idea amberback. Printing out and laying it on car to see results that might be pretty close to what your looking for.It would have to be blown up to maxime size to better see the contrast.I too have always liked burberry prints , a very London thing....At least with vinyl if it did't work you can remove it.But question when you remove it would it damage lets say the clearcoat etc...something you might want to find out,

 

Nope it wont hurt the paint in any way. If the paint where to fade around the vinyl it would not fade under the vinyl leaving the image behind once removed though. Good thing is the OP says they have a white top, white dosent fade, just peel it off and give it a good buff job= good as new.

My wife think just leave it as it is with white on top and mirror, since she don't want to stand out too much.

We may change mirror to chrome for now and think for next down the road after adding driving lamps on the bumper like those Mayfair model.

I sold many mini parts before, but I never own one. While driving home, I think base model lack of ESP....like speed adjust to steering?

Its more like go kart at this time. Does S model come with this option?

I should look around more for other models now....

Once you attend a MINI function with lots of different MINIs .... and notice that no 2 are alike .... and see all the cool stuff on everybody elses MINI .... YOU WILL want to make some changes.

Attending a MINI gathering is the best way to get ideas .... and make new friends!!
