Looking for a BLACK Rear Bumper Guard for my R55 Clubman S

I'm a new MINI owner with a '08 Clubman S. I love it. It's my daily driver so I want to step up the exterior protection. I've installed the factory front and rear mudguards and I attempted to install a CLEAR rear bumper scratch guard that I purchased from Mini Mania. The part was good quality, but I botched up the install (long story). I really didn't want a clear bumper guard anyway, but I was unable to locate a guard that was black. Any suggestions where I might be able to find one of these?

I've got an OEM one that overlaps about 1/2" over the edge of the bumper. Highly recommended. I get my hockey gear in and out a ton and never had a problem

It says:
Please note, the Clubman scuff protector is only available in CLEAR, while the others will be black as shown

Is your OEM bumper guard rubber, or the like? I'm not to sue about the one Outmotoring is selling, as it does not sound very protective to me.

Jim

It doesn't look like rubber. It has about the same gloss as the black trim, not flat black more like a very light satin. It's slightly more textured than the car trim, but unless you compare them side-by-side, you can't tell the difference.

Here's some pix...

I'm pretty sure both Outmotoring and MiniMania are selling the OEM product: http://www.minimotoringgear.com/#/pr...?CenterId=null ("Available in clear only.")

Thanks Rixter. I think I'll go with that one. I try to be careful, but the back is starting to take a beating and I'm not use why.

Jim you might poke around on RealOEM and see if they list it as an accessory part #

If you can't find a non-transparent option for the Clubbie, I wouldn't think it would be too hard to make your own. If you want rubber-like I'm sure you can find something out there, or as an alternative grip tape for skateboards is available cheap (and in a variety of colors and patterns, if you like) - http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=3416161

Just have to make a template with some thick paper and/or masking tape, cut the material and install.
