Interior/Exterior Matching interior trim
Matching interior trim
I really like how the Cabrio's have matching exterior and interior (Dash and Door Trims) I've called Mini and they quoted me $1900 since they need to order them from Germany....
I'm wondering what could be a good alternative? Getting it sprayed even if it's plastic? Perhaps Vinyl (I ain't fancy about that idea though)
Any insight would be great.

I'm not really sure what you're referring to here, as the Cabrio we've got has the exact same trim (Anthracite) on the dash and door panel, and so does my '04 MCS hatch. There was never any trim on the outside of the car that specifically matched any interior pieces that I'm aware of, with the exception of the Chrome Line Interior package MINI offered starting in 2005, and if THAT'S what you're talking about, $1,900 is absurd. OutMotoring and a bunch of others stock everything you'd need to do the swap.
It just dawned on me that you're probably talking about the "Body Color Dash" option, where you'd get your dash and trim panels in matching body color. In that case, go and get them painted. Any respectable paint & body shop should be able to get MINI paint codes to match the pieces perfectly. And if you go about removing the plastic bits yourself (MANY good tutorials on NAM for that) you'll save even more money. I'd avoid vinyl only because I've heard horror stories about off-gassing and bubbles and bad adhesives and the like.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the help Max, I'll start calling shops!
If your interior is blue. What color is your mini? I want a blue dash and map pockets to match my blue seats and carpets. I have the brushed aluminum right now this might be a good option. Do you know what oem color your dash is?
I have a cool blue cabrio (with body colored door inserts and dash panel). I was thinking about doing hot orange on the pillars (since that is the other convertible only color). Maybe also on the speaker surrounds. Did you clean or treat the pillars specially before painting?
For amnyone interested in exact paint matches: There are a couple of sources for ordering your own, exact match spray paint. It is about $30 a can but worth it for an exact match. I picked up some Cool Blue from Way at the Dragon. If you are going to MITM some vendors may have paint for sale.

I did exactly the same thing to my 03's,it's Indi Blue and i got the paint from our Sherwin Williams Auto Paint supplier and my painter did the job. Just get the paint code to be sure of correct match.

In the process of painting my interior trim peices, Question on the tach and speedo trim, I have the duel pack on top of the steering wheel. I know how to remove the speedo and tach, does anyone know how to actually get the trim off the guage? is it a clip on, glue on as I see no screws? or does can i just pry it off ? need to get it off to paint.

NightFlyR: Please Post some pics when your done, Im curious to see how the matching Trim and Down tubes will look, and I've heard that question several other places, i dont remember where i was looking though, it had to do with someone replacing the clear lense with one that didn't reflect. Wish i could be more help... the is always the good ol' blue tape and an exacto knife

Pictures are in my gallery, I did the trim ring for the speedo and tach,( actually I picked up a spare an did it) but i was unable to get the one in the car off, and i did not want to break it. So next trip to the dealer I will ask them to remove it and install the one I painted.
My car is Indi Blue, I did not get the matching paint, but I like the way it has come out, plus if i dont like it later on, I know exactly how to remove the paint and I can re do it. I did not do the door trim yet, not sure if i will do the speaker covers either.
If you could do without them for a few, Id ship stuff to Lyle for a vinyl wrap. The stuff is incredibly durable and looks great....May depend on the color though. My exterior parts turned out excellent
Your car is awesome looking!! I had some interior parts wrapped by a guy here in NJ last year, and to be honest it was a great look, I had no issues with it all summer long. But during the winter I found some of the curved peices started to come un done, normally my car is not outside for more then a few hours, but last winter I had to stay at hotels for a few days at a time and i started to have issues with the wrapping. So I tried to paint it, pretty happy with it so far, we shall see how it holds up.
