Retro-fit aircon

Hi guys, i REALLY want to retrofit aircon to my 2007 Europe spec R56 Cooper.

Whats involved with this? What exactly will i need? and im guessing ill need to have to ecu reprogrammed?

Its not that hot over here in England but its pretty warm and in August im going to be driving round the south of France for a week so want to be comfy!

Aircon is standard on every MINI in the US, so it's doubtful that anybody here has experience with retrofitting it. Maybe European members may be listening...

I think it would be a small fortune just for parts alone.

I found the kit on a parts site listed for just over 1K Euro. Seems incredibly low when the compressor is about $750 alone.
