I think Cat&Dog scoops are not worth anything considering he doesn't even show up to discuss his product...go for Orciari...

don't mind them. it's just frustration talking. I have cc-b's (oricari) and are not happy with them looking forward to see what you'll bring to the table..

will it be suttle like the Oricari, agressive like BFP? a nice medium? or something completely unique?

i wont leave, just i have alot more phone, and "shop" work than internet based, i enjoy these "forums", i may get frustrated from time to time from people argueing my points, and yes sometime i miss explain what im trying to say and get attacked for it but in the end, even Andy has seen the light, if you were to look at his Boost plot thread you will see, yes i do have to take a break or just am to busy, but i see that i need to make sure i save time for you guys

Caddman,

I'd be happy to take a set of those scoops for testing.

I agree. Interesting.

I'd like to see your results/data reproduced by an independent tester in a MINI cowl scoop shootout.
Orciari vs BFP vs Cat & Dog Racing vs Webbmotorsports vs any others.
I'd trust Andy to do the honors.

From your digital pictures it looks like you leave the existing covers on and then add a cowl scoop cover.
What happens if it snows?
I wonder about how restrictive the airflow is given this set up. Assuming the stock cover is left untouched.
Thanks for posting the unofficial pictures.

I don't understand the purpose of these. Yes I have read all the posts concerning the scoops. The left one doesn't have any added benefit. The right one, I can see someone wanting more air pushed toward the Intake. But the cowl scoops are going to get buffetted considerably by the air, and it may be debated whether much air if any gets into the airbox.

Wouldn't it be easy and have less affect on the car to enlarge the tubing going from the grill to the airbox. All the air you want is already hitting the grill. Enlarging it by 30% I would think would produce just as much air if not more going into the airbox and have no affect on the external look of the car and probably no affect on the internals.

I dont see the point myself but the left and right sides are linked together and pressure is generally evenly distributed. Can't do one without the other

I like them. Are they for sale yet? How much? A link to where I can purchase a set would be nice.

Thanks,

Paul.

I'll wait for better pics! Those pics make them look like strips of plastic melted with a hair dryer for shape....no offense. I'm sure a better photo will show them better. Tell your photographer that time is money.
