Interior/Exterior Duraflex body kit.
Duraflex body kit.
I was looking at this Extreme Dimensions duraflex Body Kit and was wondering if any of you have experience with this kit.
I've seen one other mini with this kit loved the look and its definitely affordable (at just around 700 with shipping) compared to the other body kits.

I have no experience with this particular body kit, but it's tough to get an idea of its quality from the link. Pictures aren't that helpful. Keep in mind, sometimes you get what you pay for...
I would not be doing the side skirts (those looked super riced out) just the the tail. The front does look a little over kill as well.
Edit: There is another site where you can buy single parts from the body kit, and the rear and front bumper are 200 each.

Its your car, so I have no say in what you do to it.
This is an ebay kit though so I wouldnt expect very high quality. Do some research on some honda forums cause this is just a honda kit fitted to the MINI. Quality will be the same. I would honestly expect it to crack pretty easily.

don't do it, its a waste of time and money. The only kit I would ever put on mines is the Aero kit and so I did.

I don't really like the kit itself but I do like the vented look and how it makes the front look wider.
I have seen similar kits (on mini coopers, without that ricey look) that are way less cheesy and riced out but I cannot find them anywhere.
Any of you guys know the kits im talking about? One has a chrome mesh grill and the other bring the bumper out wider and about an inch closer to the ground.

If you wanna be closer to the ground, then lower the car, dont but lower bumpers and leave all the wheelgap.
Anyways, the only kits I'd rock are the Orciari and factory Aero kit (I'm currently running the Aero kit)

I don't really like the ociari at all.
something about it... I don't know.
I AM a fan, of the factory aero kit though, I would really like to get that front bumper.

are two other kits that i think look better (less cheap) but still, factory aero above all.

I am considering doing something similar with my front bumper, but flat black.
I really might to it, that looks nice and aggressive.
I hope you don't try to find and kill me. ^-^
I think we have similar tastes, I loveee those OZs you have. and I really like the way your car looks now.

Lessons learned:
Plasti-dip would have been MUCH easier on the grill surrounds (usually chrome) than vinyl was. Also, because of the grooves the vinyl is cracking and I'll have to redo it. Which leads me to say that I'll be redoing mine in a flat black that will match the plastic trim and hood scoop (which has been plasti-dipped since my latest gallery pics, which are old).

since then I did it all in plasti dip, and its great.
I am going to get my wheels powdercoated, so I will take off the front bumper and go to work on that.
and I will let you know how the plasti goes on my front bumper =]
+1!
In many cases, inexpensive aftermarket body kits require the expertise of a body shop to fit properly. "Tweaking", shaving, body filler, sometimes all required fitting to the existing body panels. Not a simple paint and bolt up like the stock Aero Kit. So keep that in mind with regards to what you pay for a kit. Added expenses can accumulate.
From what I have read so far, and from a few bits I have purchased, the Oricari kit is not in this catagory and is very well made.
In the end, it is personal preference and what makes each of us happy about our MINI's. Inpart, that which makes our cars unique by having the ability to taylor fit their appearance to our whims, needs and desires. That is the MINI Cooper heritage.
And having no two MINI exactly alike for me, is what makes these cars so interesting.
So if the kit you posted is what appeals to you, Motor On.
