yeah - I've got the MFSW and am dying to put that dead extra button to use! But I read on some audio threads that lots of people have been frustrated trying to figure out how to patch into the button, because apparently all of the MFSW controls attach to a big wire harness that works like a bus-style computer cable and requires programming to tap into. :???:

nnnnnnnnn....that's beyond my comprehension. I need to take a look
at the service manual (which i dont have) to find out how to wire something
up to that middle sw.

what is that sw suppose to do? does it connect to the nav?
I don't have a nav so dont know... perhaps there is an empty wireharness
behind the odometer which we could tap into?

From what I've read, but it definitely seems plausible, the dead button supports a factory Bluetooth function, that the MINIs are wired for, but the software isn't finished yet.

I wish I knew....I think I read somewhere that the button was reserved for some kind of handsfree telephone operation, which I guess could be Bluetooth-related as well.
