door speaker ring

does anyboody know how to reomove the door speaker ring?

Are you talking about the one near the bottom? If so, the door panel has to come off. The grill is plastic welded on and has to carefully, and I mean CAREFULLY drilled out. I used epoxy to put mine back on after painting, but you can use small screws.

i found out the hard way that they were not supposed to come off... after i pried it off...

out came the jb weld.

Normal cars... yannow, they come off...

IF you pull the speaker ring off and then replace it with a brand new one it can be retained with 8 speed nuts, MINI part no. 54318246804.
This is much easier and cleaner than using any glues.

I had no problem with epoxy and it was a clean install. Sparce amount is the key. If you don't wan't to use adhesives, then screws work fine. If you have ever taken your grill off or even the sidemarker lights, you know what a pain speednuts can be.
