Interior/Exterior Cibie Airports/Series 35's?
Cibie Airports/Series 35's?
Anyone use these lights before? I know they're not popular being that they're Cibies and are hard to find, and not popular on Minis because they're not round.
I'm thinking about getting a set of these for my lower fogs to mount on my new Alta bar.

Wow. Cibie..........there's a name I haven't seen or heard in years. We used to run their lights instead of the 7" sealed beams in our cars, back in the day. I remember that they made good stuff back then, but today I'd be surprised if they're not made in China or something.....put up a pic if you do this so we can see them, OK?
I will certainly do that. You can get old French ones on ebay. They're owned by Valeo now, and I think they may be made in Brazil nowadays? Not sure. You can get new ones through daniel stern lighting consultancy, but they are mucho $$.
You can also get them at Aardvark... http://www.talbotco.com/cibie_main_frameset.htm
I've been looking into Cibie as well. One of my Hella FF200's has a crack across the glass and they are no longer made. I really don't like the look of most driving lights on the market nowadays. I'm just not sure if those BIG Cibie's will fit (literally and figuratively) on a MINI.
