R50/53 Brackets for mounting Oscar Driving Lights
Brackets for mounting Oscar Driving Lights
I have 4 Cibie Oscar Lights I want to mount on my 2 Mini S. 2 per car. The brackets I have seen are too shallow or not deep enough to mount these lights. They are like 7 inches in diameter and like 5 inches deep.
Anyone have any suggestions?

The construction of the ALTA 4 lite bar would be very easy to extend the actual lite bar out an inch or so. I'd weld in a piece of threaded bar to the mount. But I have a welder...and have done similar....no one close to home????
the Alta bar is a basic [_____] and bolts to the hard beam of the front bumper (drill holes to the beam behind the bumper cover) with two vertical bars, then they connect at 90 degrees to two posts that will lead forward thru the lower grill. Once out there you hang a cross member. In your case, I'd be extending the pieces that bring the cross member to just in front of the lower grill....extend as needed.
The OEM (and copied) brackets that attach to the bonnet would only be extendable by fabricating a piece to attach.

I've installed a half dozen sets using the OEM/cloned brackets.....
Your path of least resistance would seem to be to fabricate a short extension to bolt to the bracket of choice and stick the light out another inch or two. Welding it to the bracket would be the most secure but you could make bolts work.
I could make an extended set.....PM me if interested.
