I have a friend who got a body kit for his 08 R56, new grills etc also. Wants to sell me his whole stock setup, front and rear bumpers, side skirts, grill, mirror covers etc etc. Was wondering will the R56 S bumpers fit on my 06 R53? Is it something completely different as far as bolt holes etc is concerned or slight modification that a body shop could easily do? Also being his color and mine are the same.

 

I've owned both a GEN1 S and a GEN2 S and I can't see how this would be possible altho I never really checked. Looking very superficially just the turn signal /parking lites are in different places and built into the steel bumper behind the covers. Relocation would be very very difficult.... Isn't the GEN2 wider than the GEN1 even?????

 

The underpinnings aren't the same and if you look at the arches, the R56 has flatter arches that won't match up.

 

Anything will fit with enough work. It would be very hard to fit an R56 kit on an R53 though.

Sorry it won't work, they don't mount the same. Wait till you can find a good R53 set.
