Which gets applied first? Is the clear bra on top of the stripes or vice-versa?

I just applied a complete clear bra to my Pepper White MCS this past week and I put the film OVER the stripes. It looks great. I didn't take any close ups, yet and even if I did it would be very hard to discern anything.

Clearbra first then stripes. That way you can remove and change the stripes without needing to remove the MORE EXPENSIVE clearbra.

Also, you run the risk of having small bubbles along the stripe edge if you put the vinyl under the stripes.

Did- really? cause i would assume that the strips are a permanent thing where as the clearbra is more of a service item. i could be wrong.

but you shouldn't have any problems with air bubbles along the stripes as
long as you squeegee correctly.

I don't think it really matters... More depends on which you got first. My dealer already had the Clear Bra installed so I'm going to have to put the stripes on top of it. If you have the stripes on already then you would just put the clear bra on top. If I was getting both at the same time, I would put the stripes on first then the clear bra. I would think the clear bra would require replacement more often than the stripes and that way you protect your stripes on the front with the clear bra.

The service issue is a real factor. Film is like any surface and needs maintenance. It needs to be treated like paint to maintain a maximum gloss. You can buff out small mars and minute scratches.

The stripes are printed with ink and cannot stand much abuse or buffing. They abrade easily and could stand protection. If you plan to keep them, cover them!

Also, if you try to buff or wax the film area around the stripes and the stripes are on top of the film, it gets to be a real mess with the wax residue getting caught in all the edges.

Been there, done that....I've had experience with 3M film on many of my cars for years.

Yeah, but the invica shield will only be covering the little bit of your stripes at the bottom, so protecting just that small section is silly.

The invinca-shield is actually more permanent than stripes. I put my stripes over my shield. I figure the stripes will eventually wear out, or get abraded, and I don't want buy another front invinca-shield just to replace the stripes.

My stripes and shield
