A set of BMW Motorsport 'scuderia' badges that a friend from M5Board made. M5 will soon be no longer. So I thought I'd slap 'em on the Mini. Think it adds a nice splash of color. And great thing is I can take it on and off
I think it looks out of place, but that is the fun of personalizing something...you like it you keep it
Love the blackout on JB base. The chrome door handles work with the headlights and rims for some contrast.

Understood. There were mixed feeling about it on the BMW forums too.
And thanks!

Sticker? I may have bad taste, but I'm not crazy. I'd never put a sticker on the paint. It's a magnet Thus, easy on, easy off.
Got it from a fellow M5 owner who was making a bunch of them.
I agree. Visually, it fights with the side scuttle. Try moving it to below the scuttle.
Agree. Would look much better there.
And be careful putting magnets on your paint. Slightest bit of grit under there and you'll end up with scratches. Tiny grit = Tiny scratches. Grit you can actually see = Nasty scratches.
Oh, I know the M5 in general is alive and well. I just meant my personal M5 is going away.

I'll give it a try. Thanks.

Absolutely! I make sure the fender area is well cleaned as well as the underside of the magnet. Good tip though
Oh my bad, but that stinks that your m5 is going away. No fun. Whats more fun to drive spirited, the m5 or the Mini?
They're vastly different, to say the least. Obviously no comparison between the power the M5 puts down vs. the Mini. Despite the incredible agility of a 4000 lbs sedan, it's still a 4000 lbs sedan. Not really intended to throw around corners. Mini is much more agile. And believe it or not, more engaging to drive simply b/c of the manual transmission. The flappy paddle SMG thing is fun and novel, but after getting back into a 6 speed, I realized how...well....boring it is to shift with paddles.
M5 infinitely more comfortable/luxurious/powerful. Mini likely more engaging in the twisties (although I haven't tried it out yet).
