Ramseys back! - with an Extreme Makeover

+++++++++++UPDATE+++++++++++
Finally got the little guy today. Didnt have time to set up my flash, hope these pics will do for now till I get creative this weekend - Cheers!

The short hiatus from NAM was from a never-ending debate between selling Ramsey for a 2006 Lotus Elise...or not. Thanks to the flat-lining economy, Ramsey only spent 3 weeks in the classifieds until I decided to pull him out. Despite the craving for more speed...I just love this car too much to let it go. (for those not familiar with my ride: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-showcase.html )

Now, before i start modding my Range Sport...I wanted to spoil Ramsey one more time.......

Ladies & gents, a preview of Ramseys extreme makeover...

That BMW is gorgeous.

We now know how to make a bunch of mini nuts go insane; just tell them about a matte black mini and dont release the photos.

Sorry for the delay guys..they were still putting everything together last night. I'm picking it up this afternoon....for now, here are the pics he sent me....

I've seen an R56 in Matte Black...but not an R53 yet so hopefully I can own the bragging rights...or not.

I'm jealous!!! If I had the money, this would definitely be my color choice too. Can't wait to see the completed job.

It looks good, but I for one would miss the super gloss of a freshly waxed car on a sunny day.

Looking good. Actually Lyle of Vinyl Styles has a matt black R53 but it's in vinyl, you can do a search and see pix. I saw this car at Bimmerfest but it was BRG. What he did was sand off the clear coat giving it a matt finish. Pretty interesting technique but looked good.

Mr. BlackX5.

I saw your car at Danny's grand opening for his new shop. My son and I looked it over on the street for about 5 min.

Your car was one of the best looking Mini's to my eye I have ever seen. Just a perfect combination making for very clean lines .

I can't wait to see how this comes out as I love matte finish. I want to see it in the light with all the goodies put on .

That Silver 3 is just awesome looking. I've always wanted to paint my roof a silver kinda like that. What I really want is the silver off the McLaren F1 cars.

Are you going to add any strips back? Shiny silver strips like the McLaren silver would look trick against that flat black

- Much thanks Longboard! Wish I got to meet you guys personally as I was busy discussing Danny's new website that day.

We'll see how long I decide to keep the matte black finish. My painter is now experimenting on some other matte finishes...I'm excited to explore more options.

BTW - love that SLR. I work on Sunset blvd. and I see one done in matte black too with some purple trims. Just last week I also saw a hamman edition murcielago in matte black....and his buddy parked behind him had the same exact ride...but it was in matte grey. Wish I took a pic.

- matte white, silver, dark silver, charcoal grey......its going to be SICK! I'm actually trying to convice my buddy to have his range rover sport to get painted matte white since he has his trim pieces painted balck.
