Anyone know if there are amber replacement bulbs available for the factory fogs? I seem to remember PIAA making Ion-crystal replacement bulbs a while ago, but now everything seems to be Super White. Anyone see anything anywhere?

Im in the process of putting PIAA crystal ion's on. There are two light kits that PIAA makes that will fit the cooper and cooper S. The model numers are 510 and the 540's. I think the differance is the diamiter. You can get these bolth in yellow and clear.Im not sure if you can change just the bulb itself for color. If i remember right the back of the light has a color coating on it for the color of the light to be emitted. But i could be wrong. I hope i was a little help.

Have you found a Crystal Ion bulb for the right application or are you buying a whole new fixture? I have these bulbs on my Protege 5 and they emit a yellow light. This would be my preferred solution if I could just buy the bulbs.

Hey Gabe - thanks for the link - GREAT review on our product (Laminx). Say - I think I figured out where "Bridger" came from - is this in referebce to The Italian Jobb (Michael Cain)? As in "Mr. Bridger"? Very cool if so.

Here is a pic of my car with amber foggies:

i tried these Lamnix yellow fog protector covers i bought from rspeed
on my cooper-s with aero kit. the fitment is off by about 2-3mm
(will not line up to the opening). the aero kit's fog opening is a slight
oval shape.

they don't look too bad even if close up (the non-covered portion doesn't
stand out that much unless I point it out) and even with fog's on not too
bad. just not a perfect fit.

i had better fitment with the Xpel headlight/marker protectors i got from
autoclearguard.com. guess no one makes the fog covers for the aero kit.

Near the end I posted some sites that carry H11 bulbs.

instead of pulling off my front bumper. i'll live with it, its no big deal...

I just recently changed my foglight bulbs, and the bumper does NOT need to come off. You can access the back of the foglight from the wheelwell by taking out a couple of screws. Theres a screw holding the fender lining to the bumper, and two plactic screws/clipd underneath, and then you can pull the fender lining out of the way.

wkndracr- thanks for info. when you accessed the fog lamp from behind the
wheel well, were you able to see the screws which were holding the entire
fog assy to the front bumper?

I ask this because its going to be very difficult to take off the lamin-x yellow
cover from the front of the car without scratching the bumper or the fog lens.
I would like to take off the entire assembly to peel off the lamin-x, then
install yellow bulbs.

thanks.

I didn't notice any screws, although I wasnt looking for them. I do have a feeling tho, if you want to remove the whole light, the bumper needs to come off.
