I would just go aftermarket, they are really cheap and are of great quality.

you should just use a Dremel to cut them open instead of trying to pry them apart. Put them back together with a epoxy that has a needle that mixes the two parts for you.

i used the dremel but it still cracked anyways.. but i only used the dremel to start if off then i used a screw driver. Did u use the dremel around the whole thing? i am gonna get another set and try again. and this time do twice as slow...

yeah cut it all the way around. cover the lens with tape first so you dont scratch them or get epoxy on them.

Yep - I cut mine all the way around also... I could tell they were gonna crack was I was prying on them, so I just went ahead and cut all the way - quick and easy, really. Just have to clean up the melted plastic from the dremel all the way around.

GREAT tip about taping the lenses to protect against stray epoxy. Of course, that doesn't help when you drop the whole lens into a batch of mixed epoxy like I did.

So good tip on the self-mixing epoxy syringe, also.

Depends on whether you get pre- or post-facelift tails...

Mine are post-facelift tails... so I just had the chrome ring around the perimeter - masked and sprayed it with plastidip.

another option if you have the post facelift tails: you can just remove the chrome with some denatured alcohol, it wipes away to reveal the red lens.

i dont remember the exact month but it's basically 05-06 hard tops, 05-08 cabrios.
the light is mostly red except for the small white light for reverse. there is no reverse light in the center of the bumper like 02-04 MINIs
