New molded black-out

Mike at http://www.aestheticreations.net just did my R56 in his new molded Black Out. I was amazed how easy it was.

Most parts just snapped on. I think some come with double sided tape. This is still new and he is finalizing the product. Could be removed if your desires change.

I went with the flat black which is a close match for the fender trim. He offers gloss black and Mini colors too.
Prices are great, do your whole car for about $300.
So far, I'm very happy with it. Now to paint my wheels and Joey mod the headlights!

Check it out:

That looks good ! Can't even tell those are plastic covers... looks like they were painted professionally.

The door handles look REAAAAAAALY nice.

Do you have the same treatment on the headlight rings? Not sure about those... the extra thickness might be more noticeable and "massive"...

F'n SICK. Definitely gonna scoop this. Only concern of mine is the mention of heat. I'm in south florida and it gets pretty toasty. Hmm.....

Headlight rings look great in person, not thick.

Do you have any pics of the parts not installed?
I did the whole plasti dip thing but the door handles don't stay nice for very long. This looks like a great alternative without having to spend $250 or pulling the doors apart.
I am curious about how sturdy the door handle covers are and how it attaches. Will it hold up if I use the passenger side to cover the key hole on the comfort access driver side? How hard would it be to take off if I had to use the key?

So far it has been in the 80's here and no problems. The material we use has a melting point of 200 degrees so it does need to get very hot to have any problems. if we do end up with a problem with heat we can replace the parts up to a year. We are however working on UV coating to help protect the parts for any problems.

We are also working on adding more options and new parts to the website including full package deals.

Mike has been working on UJ and checkered parts too. They should be ready to go on the website in the next couple weeks.

All of these parts kind of snap on over the existing part but we do add some 3m Adhesive just to make sure they stay.

I was wondering the same thing^^ Can we use it to cover the key hole and would it be removable in case the unlock button didn't work?

I was also wondering about the process of painting for the body color option. Is there any worry about color matching for some of the complexer metallic colors in the line-up? How are they painted (i.e. rattle can or spray booth)? Will they be clear coated as well.

Hey I just got my Clubman done from Aesthetic Creations as well. Gloss black really matches well with the back pillars. Boot handles too.

They are very clean looking, matches the painted accents of the car much better than the chrome. We also had the passenger side door handle cover put onto the drivers side to cover the key hole. If I ever need to use the key hole than I can just pull the cover off with my pocket knife. If you keep your battery in your remote fresh you should be fine. If it is a car problem, you've got worse things on your plate than having to worry about getting a new door handle cover. For those of you who are skeptical about putting a cover over the handles or headlight rings, we tested them all with high velocity air pressure from an air hose, a water hose and the pressure washer hose at the car wash. The parts didn't budge.

We rounded out the car with a gloss black emblem for the bonnet and instead of reinventing the wheel, purchased the gloss black JCW grille surround.

This turned out great. Thanks Mike for all of your hard work.

Jim, Jessica and little Cooper

Any plans on grille surround or tail-light rings? Also, does the gas cap work for the R56 Cooper S? It says onliy 02-06 and Clubman on the website.

I'll keep an eye out for your UV coating. I'm worried here, the florida sun kills everything!

Hey There, Some of you guys know my clubman, I blacked it out 11 months ago, and live in South Florida. I have no problems with peeling. What I did with all four door handels: I brought the car to a Sign place that does vynal signs. They did a great job for a decent price, and never had done it before.

It may be worth a try for those of you who want the handels done, and I am guessing in any color. I know they had a red that matched my chili red perfectly. For those who want to see the job, just check my gallery.
Have a great motoring day,

Larry

Larry, did you take it to Exotic Signs? They're in your neck of the woods.

This is awesome I just have on question about the door handles. What exactly is the piece is it just a cover and sticks on or clips on somehow. And how easy is it to remove what I mean is the thing going to just pop off whenever by it's self.

According to their website, it snaps on AND has some light adhesive to keep them on.

I would think getting them off is only a minor PITA.
