got the parts from Mike last week and finally got around to install them (headlight rings and the emblem covers), looks great ! enjoy

 

The black JCW grill surround will also fit on the stock grill. As their description says, you may have to put a dab of epoxy on a couple lower tabs to keep it in place. The surround will not fit on the Factory Aero kit, however, as I discovered. I still have the one I bought. PM me if you're interested. An alternative is to take it off and paint it. I used some spray on Plasti-dip on my Factory Aero surround and it looks pretty good.

I don't think so, but the black plastic isn't super glossy. If you want really flat black, I'd just take the chrome one off and paint it. It's super easy. The plasti-dip is somewhat textured and flat. Plus, with the plasti-dip, you can just peel it off if it doesn't come out right or gets nicked. Then just spray it again. I've had it on mine for 7 months and it still looks good as new even after several automatic car washes and 12,000 miles.

Still waiting for my stuff Mike keeps telling me he is shipping them tomorrow and thats been going on for almost 3 weeks now. My patients are starting to run low again I told him I don't mind painting that parts myself.

 

Maybe your patients need leg extensions.

Yesss my mold's are being shipped I finally received my conformation.

 

They look good Bor! Any way you could take a pic from the side so we could see how much they 'sit' on top of the actual ring? I may get some body color ones but if its obvious they are stick-on pieces I wont.

 

Now that our new guy has taken over I will have time to do more stuff like paint the parts. Bigjoeski08 If you don't want to wait for the parts any longer and would like to paint them yourself I can send a primer'd set out to you. Just email me.

We offer the flat black parts on the website. The plastic we use is already flat black to start with.

 

My molds are being shipped already so i'm all set.

Bigjoe... when did you order? I ordered 14 Mar.. at 10 weeks or so now.. the chrome must die!

 

I ordered MAR 23rd ..........the molded emblems will fit any year mini emblem correct?

 

My order was placed Feb 24th for Gloss Black Handles and Emblems.

I got my mold's today thank god and like what everyone else says it's worth the wait took about 1 minute to install and looks factory.

We have however got some great feedback on the parts that have gone out and made some changes to the kits to make them better. That has also lost us a week of new trials. The good news is the parts will be even better than before when they go out.

Let's see... I ordered a full set of gloss black on Feb 27. According to an email I received from Mike on June 5, I'm #8 on the list.

So, you can make your own determination as to how long you might have to wait.

 

I haven't actually ordered yet. I'm waiting until the backlog has cleared a bit. I'm a patient guy but I don't want to test it.
