Have a before and after with the lights on? I'm curious how different it affects the light compared to my Yellow Lamin-X over halogens.

Purely cosmetic reasons behind the swap or functional motivation too?

I googled them and ordered direct, arrived a few days later USPS. They make pre-cut MINI pieces as well as sell blank sheet for you to cut. It was $40 and they offer blue yellow clear and smoke.

Check local laws for compliance first, there are many places that this isn't allowed. I've been warned once informally to which I quoted the section # and section content, that confirmed it was ok.

It looks good The lamin-x stuff is really nice. I have used the yellow in the past on my rally lights, though I later pulled it off, just didn't look right with my color car. And later put on the regular headlight tint, which is still on there.

Where did you get the HID's for the fogs? I've been looking for a bulb that's a little better of a match than the stock bulbs...

Can I use that on my side mirrors? Turn them into BMW mirrors.

I was thinking the same thing. I should get a set for "headlights" and cut them to fit the mirrors.

That's the first car I've seen those on that I like... It works with the paint color pretty well IMHO.

I've ordered a 12" x 24" sheet of the blue LaminX for my mirrors. I wanted enough so that I could mess up on a practice one, if need be. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

It's just all right for me. I'd MUCH rather see the joey mod done on your car. Electric blue + joey mod + painted rings = SEKS!!!!! Man I love electric blue!!!!

Well, it's not *purely* cosmetic, is it? Isn't the Lamin-X film also protective of the lenses? (Unless of course, you took everything apart and applied the film to the *insides* of the lenses).

You shouldn't need a heat gun since the mirrors are flat and you should just be able to lay it on and trim around the edges.

I got that stuff days ago and tried it out on a spare mirror. I followed the proper steps and it turned out badly. The mirror lost all definition and the reflected images became blurry. I let the mirror sit for a few weeks but it still didn't smooth out. The LaminX material itself is to blame, it is ripply. Good enough for headlights, but not for any glass you'll need to see through. Maybe some kind of blue window tint will work for the mirrors.

Anyway, I have a huge piece of blue LaminX left over if anyone wants to buy it for their fogs or turn signals.
