Just washed the MINI

Hadn't taken any recent pics of Spike so I figure since I just washed it, what the heck. I was inspired by Red Bull to do some before and after pics. I am still not done doing mods. Plenty of things left to do.

Here is what it looked like when I first bought it.

And now after a good bath,

his sig says h&r springs, looks good! do a body colored joey mod with a black ring around the projector lens, that'll set it off! i like the stance... now i know the diff between the tsw springs and the hr springs... def leaning towards h&r now. really nice stance. is that one of those e-z pass transponders in your windhsield? spray it black! hahaha it stands out like a sore thumb
i had the exact same idea with the R56 badging, cept i was gna spray it black- though once i debadged, i remembered how nice it was being debadged and the cleanliness- so im holding off.

last thing- did you lift your muffler tips up? (bend the hangers or somethin?) they look closer to the valence..

anyhow, nice job!

looks good - what is red in your wheels b/c it doesn't look like the calipers....maybe the inside of the caliper?

You are correct, they are the Konig feathers. I need to update my sig.

That transpoder being white is driving me nuts I'm just worried if I paint it, will it give me any problems. I may end up doing a strip of tint in the front to help hide it. As for the mufflers, that is how it came when i bought it.

I painted the caliper, but left the bracket silver.

I think you should paint the bracket too. Otherwise it looks like you have "mini" brakes. I just painted mine and it's not that much more work and makes a big difference in the look. But just that's just my opinion.

One other suggestion for your car would be to remove the egg yolk look in the front lights. Just removing the lens does a lot and it's easy.

Make sure that the tint has no metallic in it. The paste instructions with the SunPass says to attach below the tint line of the windshield.

Paint might cause less problems and look better, if you matched color.

What is the transponder you're talking about?

The LeeWay transponder

"...Be sure to mount the transponder below your window tinting.
<...>
You can use your LeeWay transponders virtually on every toll road and bridge in the state of Florida. <...>
This includes the facilities run by:
* FDOT Turnpike system roads (SunPass)
* Orlando Orange County Expressway Authority (E-Pass and O-Pass)
* Miami Dade Expressway Authority (SunPass)
* Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority. (SunPass)..."
It is primarily used for three local Toll Bridges.

It has also been reported that it works perfectly if attached underside rear Sunroof Panel. (again assuming no 'tint' )

I have the same aesthetic issue with my EZ-Pass Transponder. I was thinking of wrapping it in black hockey tape or electrical tape.

You should contact Lyle at Vinyl Styles and get some vinyl for it.

I agree on the stripes... I need a set just like that. The pics of the ones on aesthetic creations look wider than those for some reason.
