I used the stock bolt and no spacers. My harness came new with no hardware.

yeah if you do it *just* right it with the required bending anyways it *shouldn't* be much of an issue. I'll take a look when the sun comes out tomorrow and see if I cat get a size for you.

They call for a special bolt/washer, but I just used the OEM with no detrimental effects.
Then again, I didn't roll it over, either.

I'd contact HMS motorsports and get the right hardware. You won't know if another solution will work or not until it's too late. Also, it can't be very expensive.

Not just 'stock', the bolts that are already there. Just unscrew them, put the harness in between the factory belts and the bolt, and screw the bolt back in. No spacers or special hardware necessary.

I wouldn't suggest that as it shortens the bolt length in the body. To what effect I am not sure, but I wouldn't take a chance on it not performing like it was designed to.

I just ordered the bolt, spacer, & washer from HMS Motorsport. They were very cordial and helpful and it cost $6. I'm thinking there had to be a reason Schroth didn't use the stock piece.
