and was this hard for me. I bought the kit at Tire Rack.

This is the 1st time I ever played with the brake pads and jacked up my whole car.

Looking back, I see how easy it was, but lifting the wheels and pulling out the brake pads was tiring. I wanted to paint the whole caliper and remove it from the rotors so I can paint the whole thing.

It was a headache trying to loosen all the dirt, some of the dirt is just permanently stuck right on. It was impossible to take all the dirt off. I'm no painter and I guess I put too much paint at times and the globs dried up, it's hardly noticeable. If I had to do it all again, I would've not taken the whole caliper off and just left it on. When putting back the clip, it took some of the paint with it since it has to rub on the caliper

Well after a long day of straining my back, I had to let it sit and cure for 24 hours. Here's the results the following day. It's foggy over here so I couldn't get a good picture. It's hard to notice without the sunlight.

And here's some close ups.

When I have time again, I do want to repaint it over to get the scrapes from the clips covered. At least I learned how to take the brake pads off.

Thanks to Randy's How To section or I would've not been able to do this.

Sure looks nice... I've wondered though, how hard it it to keep them clean once they are painted? Do they collect brake dust???

Thanks alot everyone! I haven't driven them long enough to see how much brake dust they've collected, but I'm sure they will since I still have the stock pads. Those things are pieces of crap. I held them and a ton of dirt got on my hand.

There was a sunny day today and I should've taken better pictures. I totally see them more in the sun. I just wish I didn't do such a messy job. You can't really notice, but hopefully later on I can afford some REAL big brakes!

Alright guys, I'm off to school again.

Doug & Ray, did you finish your bios?

I painted mine too, and if you use the right stuff it's "high gloss" and most dust just washes away in soapy water. I also have the ability to reach through the rims and wipe them off, but not everyone has that ability.
