Has anybody replaced their MCS bumper covers for the regular MC bumper covers with the chrome accents?

I know you can get the chrome grille (upper and lower) on the MCS but how about changing the whole bumper cover?

If both cars are the same, technically should be a bolt on thing, right?

Only issue could be the rear fascia because of the centrally located exhaust on the S but it only changes the black molding.

Anybody have pics?

I AM sorry, and I know everyone has their opinions, but the body kit on the MCS makes the MCS! Why would you want to take a MCS and make it into an MC? Why didn't you just buy an MC in the first place if you liked the way it looked?

Don't think it'll happen, especially with the intercooler intake needed for the MCS. I'd hate to lose power, etc. by modding the MCS to be more stealth.

that hole in the hood of the S isn't there for decoration.
the S is also wider and the 2 exhausts are a give away.
why would you want to disguise the fact youe car is an S?

There is a guy in SF that changed out the front bumper of the MCS to MC. This was over a year ago. He doesn't visit this site but he does visit MINI2.

Thanks for the input. Actually I meant changing only both bumper covers for the stock MC ones as well as the chrome grille, to give it the more classic looks of the regular cooper.

I know you cant change the hood because of the supercharger intake (and interestingly, the S hood is amazingly heavier than the stock MC hood)

Here is what I had done with my MCS. Not nearly the full MC treatment. Just a modest start.

Here's vdubdoug's MCS-MC EB MINI

Not an easy task, but truly unique.

MINI should offer this as an option when you order the car (both for S and regular coopers)

Nice car Teldon! We have the same exact thing, although I opted to leave the stoneguards off.

yeah, I like the chrome detail that the MC has rather than the solid color that the MCS has. It's a nice detail and I wish it were an option on the MCS, especially with the fun metallic colors like EB. I wouldn't necessarily swap anything else but hey, customizing a MINI is part of the fun of owning a MINI.
