Blacking out the Wheel Arch Reflectors?

So the last thread I found on this was back in 2005. How are most people doing this these days? Tint from outmotoring? Spray tint (nite shades)? Taping off the wheel arch and spray paint black? Ideas, thoughts and suggestions appreciated! TIA

Thanks. I think that's just a layer of tint you apply over the reflectors. I was looking for an aftermarket lens but I don't think anyone makes it so that may have to do! An it's cheaper at outmotoring in case anyone is planning on using the tint.

I had the moss setup for a while and its a thick film stuck on top. Its ok but I had a shop tint them and they sprayed some tint paint on the lens covers and its much better. If you do spray it dont mask off as you'd have to mask off a lot of your car, much easier to just remove the lens cover and paint them away from the car. I dont know what tint spray they used hopefully someone chimes in with that detail.

Good thinking. I might go that route. I think this is the spray tint people use.

My old Z06 I had them spray tinted. Came out lovely. This time around I had the guys that tinted my windows tint the reflectors. This too came out perfect.

I just painted them flat black, matches the flares perfectly. No more little lights but that doesn't bother me

Do you know if they took the lenses out first to tuck behind them or just right over them?

I bought the ones from outmotoring for 20 bucks. All the other ones probably have a better look but the ones I bought only took 5 minutes to install!

How are they holding up? How long have you had them on?

They are fantastic!! Ive had them on for one month, and they are honding up amazingly well and look as though the car came with them on from day one. Again, I like that they were easy to install. Just peel and stick... The front reflector can still be seen, but the back one is totally black. All four lights are still visible.
Heres a pic (sorry its not a very good one)

I ordered side reflector tints from outmotoring.

After waiting over 2 weeks they finally got there. Except they were they sent rear fog light tints.(i don't have rear fog lights.) Now I'm still waiting for the side reflector tints.

That said, They were really good about clearing up the situation.

I ordered the tint kit from outmotoring but the sizes weren't perfect...a tiny bit too small. Since I'm a perfectionist they are going back and I'll be ordering some Nite Shades in a few...
