Hi all- I recently bought a 2005 DS MCS that's got no stripes. I'd like to add some. Thing is, the roof and mirrors are both dark silver too. I think stripes look best when they match the roof color, so since my roof color is the same as my body color, if I add contrasting stripes, they obviously can't match the roof. So I am wondering what the general consensus is for whether a silver U stripe (like comes on the Checkmate) would look ok on my all dark silver car, or just make it look like I am trying too hard?

I was on coopersport.com and saw some vinyl Union Jack mirror caps which I could get in silver/black to help pull it all together. Would that help at all?

 

I have black stripes on my all-PW MINI (bonnet and boot) and they look fine I love the U-stripe, too, go for it!

And blackjack is awesome, if you like it, then sounds like you've got a good plan for starting to you-ify your MINI

 

My son has a DS with a black union jack roof graphic and black stripes. I think it looks great.

Yes that does look good, thanks for posting it. I think I'd prefer it with the silver stripe you have on yours though....
