Carbon fiber

First off, look through my previous posts and you will see im a carbon fiber whorree. I love it. The good news is that my good friend has finally started to lay carbon fiber again. He used to do it along time ago and was pretty good but gave it up for financial and other reasons ( new job and a new baby ) he has now bought a new house a few years later and dedicated his car port as a new facility to lay carbon. He can do lot of colors ( red, blue, white, grey ) and can laminate carbon fiber as well. He said to give him a little while to get back into the grove of it cause he hasnt done it for a bit and is rusty but i know he'll turn out some quality stuff.

Now my question to all the carbon fiber loving, Nam afficianados is what would you make? It always seems liek there is so much stuff i want; but now i have a good way to get it pretty cheap and i dont know what to get. I already have the JCW CF spoiler, mirror caps, hood scoop, and trunk lip. Aside from the obvious downtubes/dash what would you get? im looking for ideas to make it kind of unique. something you cant buy. buy alas I have a poor imagination. as the other kids were playing G.I Joes and being all imaginative i was around back the garage burning things and kissing girls. my creativity sucks and im ok with that, but I know there are some very creative people here with alot of great ideas.

If i get a suggestion i really like i will get it made and send the person a pic. and if they are interested i will get them "cost" on the original piece. ( i.e ill have one made for you too. ) least i could do. thanks alot guys and i look forward to your suggestions...ill be munching popcorn and eagerly awaiting cool ideas.

Carbon Fiber Door sections to complete the interior. Carbon Fiber Belt Line. Carbon Fiber Tach/speedo/AC Vents. CF front splitter / rear diffuser

The one I would really want is the M7 Ram Scoop in CF.

cf rear view mirror(not side view mirror caps), of course the handles and the gas cap, maybe even a carbon fiber look for the speedometer and tach guage faces.
the little MINI caps that go on s-lites and such.
cf pillars on the outside of the car.
so on and so forth..along with all that ninjlao said..

the little plastic part for the hatch button and license plate lights would look good in carbon fiber. or some kind of carbon fiber door sill lay downs,
Carbon fiber gauge faces would be bomb, you could get a carbon fiber intake box, carbon intercooler cover, carbon washer jets or carbon antenna base.
perhaps even a carbon fiber joey mod?
just a few ideas
1+ on the windshield pillars tho, i'd go with that.

We already have a couple carbon supplier on the site now so you will probably need to be very creative and super good quality.

How about making the black sun roof surround (with the integrated sunroof button and mic holes) all in CF? This pic is off my old '03 Cooper, but you get the idea.

Or CF Visors??

CF Grab Handle for passenger?

So Longboard throws out all that delicious carbon fiber eye candy and no one comments on it.....dude was that custom made or from a supplier and if so WHO c'mon bro share the goods!!! The only thing I dont like about the hood scoop is how it seems like it comes straight up instead of bending back forward for now...dont know if i explained that right. I'm picturing the extreme scoop from m7. Isn't there a way to combine the ram scoop and the extreme scoop into one design and make that in carbor fiber...to me that would be the most ideal hood scoop.
Just my $.02
Steve

I also agree that a carbon fiber antenna base might be a pretty successful product...small enough where it can be cheap but still look pretty slick on the car

I really like Octane Guys Idea of a sunroof surround. ALL the ideas are very good and Longboards car is sweet. So far the sunroof surround made me stop and say hmmmmm. Ive never seen anything done with this part and i think it would look very nice. Right now i think Octane guy is out front

CF antenna base, CF beltline, CF windshield pillar covers, CF top skin for cars with sunroofs. A CF part to replace the silver ring on the MINI steering wheel that is soft and easily dinged. That is something you see EVERY time you drive your car!!
