Question, you were able to re-use the D pillar (C pillar)?? Is it a simple task to take off the pillars and the headliner? The more of these DIY posts I see the more I want to just start small with the pillars and get this done little by little.

Is there enough 'give' with the strap attached to wrap it while still on the car?
i would probably take it out so you can have it on a flat surface.. this will make stretching the fabric around the pillar etc much easier.

plus you wont get over spray from the glue in your car

I'd highly recommend that you do NOT use a spray adhesive as often times they aren't strong enough. I used some contact cement for my downtubes and the suede isn't going anywhere. I plan using the same thing for the pillars and headliner.

Applying the suede to a plastic piece (like a downtube or pillar) is easier than you think, the hardest part for the downtubes was making sure the stitching was centered.

Yes, it was pretty straight forward. First you have to take off the rear side panels, then the A and C pillars just pull off, except for the straps that need to be taken out after. The B pillar has a screw in the bottom of it and then it slides down and out. Once all the pillars are out and all the overhead pieces are out the headliner basically falls off. Just one clip in front and one in the back.

No. The straps are only about 1/2 inch long so that you don't get hit in the face if you get in an accident. Once I figured it out the clips weren't too difficult to take out. And they just clip right back in. Snypr has a good shot of what the straps look like.

kyle, was u able to remove the rear pillars without breaking them or cutting the strap?

i ran out of patience by that point, and since i ordered replacements, i just cut my straps.

No. That was the first one I did and I got frustrated trying to figure it out and cut them. Looking back it wasn't that hard to do it right. Oh well.

Hi all,

Does anyone know if there is any dif. between facelift and pre facelift interior pilars A, B, and C?

And what about headlining? Is it the same?

Thanks!

If you are asking about differences between pre '05 and post '05 pillar covers, then no, there aren't. I replaced my light grey ones from my '03 with the dark Grey/Black ones from the '05s and '06s

That looks quite awesome..looks just like fascinating to me.. i m sure treating soft color is a lot less expensive than purchasing the visors new for 100+ very awesome work! just wish i was that cash conscious, instead of losing 700 on new anthracite areas . .. . . . . . .
