AeroKit Front Bumper Paint

Hi,
I have a Solid Black MCS.
I gave an aerokit front bumper to my repairer to install instead of my stock front bumper, and they painted it all black, rather than matching it to the black plastic trim. Can someone show me a close-up high res pic to show them where to paint the trim plastic and where to keep it solid black?

Thanks

I have a similar problem. My body shop didn't have anything but gloss black which wouldn't match. What is used to paint that area of the Aero bumper?

Other than factory paint, it is very hard to match. We had to replace ours and they just couldn't get it right. Here's the official instructions and it has paint codes and instructions: http://www.motoringfile.com/howto/Ae...it.PDFRemember it is also a good time to get the front grill surrounds painted and delete the front badge if you want. For some pics of a painted front grill, click the "Kell's MINI" link in the sig.

I just had mine done. The shop didn't do the OEM texture stuff but rather a matte black with matte clear.

irecently had aero umper painted the body shop had to custom mix paint for the blk textured part in order to get it to match. they did a great job. dont know what they used said it was a trade secret. souned as if they mixed a flat blk paint with some kind of additive to get the texture. The mini textured paint in not availiable in the US..
