Looking for all interior removers!!

I Can not take out the a-pillars from my 2002 MC. I assume they are all the same so can someone who's gotten them out please tell me the process to get them out? I have the tabs unhooked, but thats as far as I can get. It looks like there are some slots that need to be slid out but I can't seem to do it. Please help.

Kyle

The trim is held by clips and straps. I was replacing mine anyway, so I cut the straps. You can try to save the pieces, but you will have to release the clips from the pillar to do so.

I got all of the clips out. I can't seem to get the part of the a-pillar to come out closest to the bottom of the windshield where it starts to curve.

I am talking about the bottom right and left of the windshield in this picture.

Maybe I'll try that if I don't get it in a few more tries. Thanks to both of you for the help.

Damn I can't wait to put a black headliner in my Mini this winter! How did you do the visors so I can tell my body shop? (sorry for the off topic)

I haven't yet. I just took everything out this afternoon. Minus the A-pillars . But I think I am going to spray paint them black with a vinyl paint. I'll post it all up once I get it all finished though.

If I remember correctly, there are small tabs on the end where the pillar pc meets the dash. It is a tight fit, but wiggle it a bit (technical term) and they should come out.

I wouldn't recommend painting the pillar covers. You're going for black right? Dye them instead.

Thanks Shooler, I'll try the wiggle tomorrow.

I am going to cover the pillars in black suede, and paint the visors and other parts that stick to the roof.
