Interior/Exterior Taking off Stripes
Yeah these are actually stripes that the previous owner put on and they are terrible! They are all bubbled and funky so that might make it easier, do you use a razor to take them off or just use your fingernail and work them out?
I have heard of others using heat guns (or hair dryers) to help remove the OEM stripes.
I wouldn't use a razor -- unlike when removing a sticker from glass, the razor will damage your paint

I was at a the Detroit Tuned BBQ this weekend and we took a OEM set off an '05 really easily just using fingernails. You can also use a heat gun if they are really stuck on. Don't use a blade you may chip the clear-coat. The trick is getting the whole top edge going then you can just peel away towards you slowly. Then use rubbing alcohol to clean off any sticky stuff leftover.
Also don't forget to wash and put a fresh coat of wax on when you are done.

yeah i would just try and use your fingernails... if you need to you could use a hairdryer. be careful with the head gun, A while back we let a guy take some stripes off his mustang at the shop and he used way to much heat... and ht pulled paint up around the hood scoop...so just be careful... but yeah it shouldn't be to hard!
Great! Thanks for the tips guys! oh and I was wondering, on my 02 MCS with the OBC, can i get a mile per hour that isnt the average just what i am doing at that second? I seem to not be able to all i have is the averages, range and temp.? Thanks!
When I removed mine I used a heat gun set on the lowest setting and my finger nail. They pealed right off; even got the two boot stripes off in one piece. Then I had to polish since there were ghost stripes left. After I was done - no sign of stripes anywhere, so I put new ones back on.
Yep... similar to Maybee, I used a hair dryer set on medium heat. Started on one end, as the vinyl heats up, it pulls up very easily. Just take it slowly, heating a few inches of vinyl each time, spend about 20 seconds to heat it and then pull it gradually.
Like Maybee, I was able to get a set of stripes off without tearing them. Just took a little Goo Gone over the area to remove the bits of adhesive. Done.

To get "real time" info on your tach/obc you just go to the function you want (ie: mpg) and hold the button down for two-three seconds. Then it will run your real time info. Same for all other functions.

I have and '02. Did you do it while driving? Hold down for like 2secs' , it goes blank for a sec, then begins showing and you can see your speed like 55.6mph in real time , and also what mpg you are getting at that second at those revvs, etc. You can watch your MPG go down the tubes as you race it. LOL.....Thats the only way I know of to get any info other than the average.

Well does it stay that way though, yeah i did it while driving, i want it to always display what my real time is, i know you can just reset it then it shows what your doing for a few seconds but then its still an average.
