How hard is it to pull the tach appart and disconnect one of the lights in the tach to "move" the redline.
and What happened to the auto up window products for a R53?

The tach is LED so no...there is no way to "MOVE" your redline. Invest in another tach like Defi or whatnot if you want to do something like that....

 

There is a mod that you can have your redline move up to meet the tach needle. It is not easy.

I believe 1nf3rn0 has it done. Could be wrong on the member name…

you couldent just cut the light out or block it off from showing i just want it to look like i have a 7000 redline just the small block before orange.

I remember that mod from like 3-4 years ago...thats not what the OP is talking about unless I misunderstood. He just wants to block out a few of the orange lines to make it appear to have a higher rev range. I guess you could take the tach apart and put electrical tape on the backside on some of the markers........

It is very easy to take apart the tach. Because the LEDs in there light up more than just 1 tick each, your only bet would be to tape off (or paint) the dash mark with electrical tape like UKSUV suggested.
