If I remeber right, there is a tab that you need to press in? The the cap will twist off. Do not try and pry it off!

If so, Dupli-color High Heat 1200 degree black paint is perfect...here is mine painted and the black is basically a perfect match

Did you use the DH 1602 high heat black?

Did my gas cap today with Plasti-dip. Looks fantastic. I'll post a picture when I get home. Doing side scuttles tomorrow. I...just...can't...stop....

amazingrando - thanks for the tip, found the clip next to the tank cap holder and then twisted it off. So easy.

I used duplicolor high heat 1200 degree black spray paint. This stuff matches the trim pretty well when It's been baked. I recently did the rear control arms as well, but haven't taken a pic yet.

The blackout club continues to grow. Nice stuff guys!

I recently removed my factory stripes in preparation for adding some nice wide Viper Stripes. I was getting sick of looking at the little bit of white on the edges of the factory stripes. For now, I am kinda digging on the look without the stripes.

What's the widest you guys have seen on the Viper Stripes out there? I am hoping I can get some that are somewhat wider than checkercoop's setup, and I am also hoping that I can find a nice satin color vinyl to match the rest of my parts.

Blackout is a bright future

I have a friend who has liquid yellow with wide black stripes and on both his roof and bonnet. Looks really nice in person. He just topped off the roof. I have more if you need them...he is member name Konstantinos88 on NAM. As for me...

So I'm redoing my blackout scheme, might take a couple weeks to complete, but here is the run down...

Headlight Rings/Tailight Rings/Door Handles/Headlight Washer Caps/Siderepeaters/m7 AGS-R(OnOrder)/m7 Vortex Scoop/ ALL in AsTrO BLacK...

Grille Surround to stay gloss black vinyl for now...Laminex to go on the rear fogs/front fogs/tail lights

Joey Mod is still up in the air, would go with either blackout and red around the xenon or looking to get a light blue tint on the outside...the only thing I'm unsure of.

What do you think people!? I'm excited! Any thoughts on what I should do with the headlights...and I can guarantee I'm going to get 37748293 Joey Mod suggestions and to all with going blackout, we should start our own club!! Later people.
