Looking for ergonomic shift ****

So. I'm looking for a type of ergonomic shift **** (such as the JCW or the MOMO Combat Evolution), but I don't want the JCW logo and I don't wanna spend over $50 for one, but I'd also like something that's not gonna break when I shift quick. Picky? Maybe. I call it bargain shopping.

Anyone got some links for me?

There is no need for an ergonomic shift **** because you shouldn't be grabing the shifter. Only guiding it with your palm or finger tips.

If you must have an ergonomic **** for cheap, try Walmart.

I pretty much just guide it with my palm and fingers. I was noticing as I was driving today, that the stock one works just fine.

The reason I was looking for an ergonomic one, is cause on long drives, the stitching in the leather starts to give me callouses. Guess I should invest in driving gloves.

Driving gloves would be a great investment. I love mine.

I know you said you don't wanna pay more than $50 but it's hard to beat a Whalen.

I've had my custom **** now over a year and would buy another one without question. Doug is a great guy also, it was nice meeting him (Worked at the booth next to his) finally at AMVIV 5.

Yep those Whalens are awesome. I love the finish on the metal.

Buuuut... Those aren't much different from the OEM one. Only one I think I'd go for is the Inlaid Stone one. And it says call for price... So I'm assuming, "If ya gotta ask, it's too expensive."

I paid ~$150 for mine. They're quite different from stock. The only thing that's similar is the shape.

I've had a bunch of people ask why my shifter feels so different, it's the ****! You'd be surprised what adding some weight to your shifts does. It makes shifting effortless, like butter.

I've been experimenting with different shapes.
http://www.robincasady.com/ShiftKnobs/Shapes.html

I found something like this is very comfortable for long trips. I drove from Carmel Valley to Los Angeles with the Blackwood **** below to try it out. This was down Hwy 1 which is very twisty. So, lots of shifting. Then 101 at freeway speeds. The handle idea was inspired by a Le Mans shift lever. One reason a handle style was used for Le Mans 24 hr. was that you don't have to twist your wrist as you move from the steering wheel to the shift lever. It also seems to take less effort -- important issues in a 24 hr. race.

The extra height gives you more leverage so shifting takes less effort.

I've also made some shorter versions for the competition minded.

I'm working on a very short make one that will be relatively inexpensive.
