Switch S side markers to non-S?

Has anyone ever thought about doing that?

It just occured to me because the S Markers are kinda ugly and the non- S ones are pretty cool.

And you could add a vinyl on it like the ones that VinylStyles are making.

maybe to match your body color and then carbon/black/white whatever you pick, and then match that with like a smoked signal. It might resemble like an "M3" fender louver. Just IMO it would look sooooo cool.

Personally, I'm not sure if I myself would downgrade, but to each its own right?

However, the Vinyl Styles options are pretty cool, and I guess that wouldn't be considered a downgrade anymore.

If your interested, I have the black surrounds for the side scuttles hanging around, PM me an offer. I recently changed them to the checkered design. They came off my R56 Cooper, and I'm pretty sure they fit on the Cooper S, but don't hold me to it. Maybe someone else can confirm that?

Sure, why not? I never thought MINIs should have those vent things anyway so it seems fair game to me.

Is the 'S' on the side markers just stuck on to the piece, or is it all one piece?

the factory S marks are molded on... ie, one piece..

The AC ones are just stuck on. I actually ordered them with the S but decided to take them off. They didnt leave any marks or anything.
