What happened to this front spoiler?

hey all,

new to this site and looking to get a new mini - in australia. but i'm really interested in this front spoiler. i like the way it juts out a bit... saw it on the mini challenge car pics (below) but haven't seen it anywhere. The m7 one (i think its called that) is similar but i don't like the supporting bars. Any ideas? Is it real or just a concept? And would it cost alot to make? i think its the one from the mini challenge car but where to get it hmmm

That's just the front extended lip on the front end of the MINI Challenge car. It's not available to the general public.

okay fair nuff, but would it be expensive to have a lip like that made? would it be something that you could just add onto the existing lip or would it be a whole piece?

I'm guessing you'd have to take the existing JCW aero front lip off the car and have a custom piece made up and fitted.

Here's a few shots taken by me at Rnd 1 of the Australian MINI Challenge at Eastern Creek..

The spoiler is an extension of the JCW aerokit, a few cars on the day seemed to be having some problems with the lip detaching out on the track. Nothing like a bit of development on the track to sort that problem out though...

Those cars look awesome. When are we going to get the MINI Challenge in the US. I think it could be very popular.

Nope.

At close to $60k you'd be better off building your own. You could do a lot with a $25k MCS for the $35k price difference.

Well, then we need a better MINI race series. More stops and more promotion.
