Viper Stripes question

searched for some pics of viper stripes (from front to back), and i'm thinking about doing it. I have the regular stripes (did it myself), and was going to take it off, and add the viper stripes. does anyone know how much vinyl i should buy?

looking to get the viper stripes within the hoodscoope (2 stripes that will fit within the hoodscoop).

and does anyone know where i can pick up vinyl in fullerton/anaheim/oc?
called some places, but they just said it, they only made signs/vinyls, and didn't sell it.

actually found instyle graphics from previous transactions, would 24'' by 60'' be fine to do viper stripes all the way from front to back? (without the roof). and for those who've done the viper stripes themselves, any suggestions or tips?

I did them myself, next time would pay someone to do them. Just hard to get the bends right.

You should be fine with a 15" x 10 yrd roll of vinyl. That will be more than enough for front to back.

beacon has really good prices and ships next day! i dont think they sell vinyl precut that thin though.

also, you may want to invest in a heat gun as it will make things so much easier.

hm.. what exactly does a heat gun do?
it looks pretty much like a hair dryer... saw some guy used it, but it was like softer version of a hair dryer... he used it with tints... yeah

i bought the vinyl today, and then is tarted to work on the stripes (trying to do the viper stripes that look like ghosthound's stripes), and the bumper part (where the plate goes, was really hard i kept getting bubbles and what not.. also hard to cut.

took of the emblem, and going for take two on it tomorrow.

small tiny bubbles will come out on their own. Larger bubble may need to be popped with a needle if they cant be worked out. The heat gun is used to allow the vinyl to stretch around contours.

Try Aesthetic Creations....they have numerous styles of stripes and other graphics for MC's and MCS's.

I purchased a set of bonnet graphics and it looks awesome (see attachments)

I'm thinking about the union jack for the sunroof.

Did you take off the front and rear MINI symbol/emblem?

I heard it was just stuck on - can it be re-used or do I have to use (and cut out) some double-sided adhesive tape (worst case: buy new ones)?

That's one benefit of the original viper stripes off a dealership, they have pre cut "holes" in the stripes where the symbols/emblems go, so you just need to position them right.

I'm still undecided, whether or not to buy the front+back stripes from my MINI dealership or go with the ones I picked up very cheap (leftovers from a friend). BTW the red roof stripes I did get from my dealer.

i took off, because i have a white, and i think it looks better with it overlapping. It's stuck onto the car with adhesive so afterwards i just used double sided tape and just cut out a few pieces and stuck it back on.
