I guess I have to start at the beginning.
We are in the early phases of adding a 2nd MINI to our 2006 'vert.
While not all details are clear yet, it has to be a Cooper S.

What I was wondering:
I love the MINI interior on our vert... we have the Chromline, so that's nice. But also the other parts of the dash that aren't chrome are looking great. With the exception of the turn signal and window wiper stalk... these parts look very cheap compared to the rest.

And now I'm confronted with even more parts of that look in the R56 center console... radio control, A/C etc.

Has anybody done any mods to these parts yet ? Painted, decals, something like that... or are there maybe any mod parts from 3rd party vendors ?

Did you ever find anything? I'm looking for the same thing. I hate the cheap looking silver plastic.

 

We paint plastic all day, everyday. If we can get our hands on some core parts, we can do some experimenting to see what works best. Our paint process is unique, and involves over 14 stages of finish, usually about 11 days of time.

I'll dig around here and see if I can find a few consoles. Most of the time we're doing highline interiors, in exterior body color, alumalook, etc. Chrome is not an option, but nearly any other finish would be.
