Ok I'm confused?? Are you guy's talking about the same wing? t995 is saying the "prototype" won't be done for three more weeks, but MC 2 is saying his will be done by this weekend?

Anyone besides me see a problem with this ?

First let me preface this by saying; I love the GP Wing ! It is somewhat functional in design and the looks department it gets an A+. It really compliments the lines of the car. And while having one on my MINI at 1/3rd of the cost is also very intriguing......does anyone see any problem with this ? That is, the development and manufacturing of a MINI Specific body part currently on the market ?

Considering the fact that the MINI GP rear wing is manufactured in limited numbers for a specific car, and that BMW/MINI will still be manufacturing and supplying this wing until 2013, and since no license has ever been issued for aftermarket production, I see copyright issues in the rearview mirror.....

My 2 cents.....

I know.....but I would not want to see anyone get into a legal pissin match with the manufacturer.

No, no GP wing yet. And it's not for the lack of trying either. But for 2K, I can think of a few other mods worth doing....

I removed the standard Cooper S-wing last year and replaced it with a Cooper Sport wing instead. Bit more stealthy, adds to the roof line some and compliments the rear lines of car.

I really like M7's "C-Wing". But, it may be a bit much for my MINI's current set up. If Peter ever came out with a less agressive version of his C-Wing, Smaller side plates, remove or lower the top cross wing, I would have one in a hearbeat.....

That's great and can't wait to see it. Just from reading previous posts relative to molds and parts Nate had already, it sorta sounded like reverse engineering. Thanks for clearing that up .

I see no problem As long as it's not exactly the same, he can do what he wants He has already said it's going to be a little different, no CF, the side panels slightly different, and it will mount different, so it's........ different......

So when are you becoming a vendor on the site?
What's the company's name?
What's the warranty on the wing?

That looks amazing. And I had no idea when I met you that you were the one making the wing. Once you have the finished product on your car I would love to take a look at it. I really want to see one on my car before I got one though. Maybe?

We met at Ontario MINI if you remember.

Secret Mounting ?

From a standpoint of being a potential buyer for your wing, and the lack of street credit you have with us, more info on this wings secret attachment is paramount, at least for me.

I would want to be sure it doesn't end up in stuck in the windshield of a car behind me.....

That said, nice work.

I await further data while my paypal stands by...........

I'm pretty sure the attachment for the wing would be on the inside of the hatch, since it's not on the glass or roof. I'm very interested in getting a hold of one in the future.
