Interior/Exterior Best Aftermarket speakers??
Best Aftermarket speakers??
I been looking at Focal or Boston Acoustics. I want to know what you guys think about this two brands or if you recommend other high end brands? I was looking at the Boston Pro 60 and SX95 vs Focal Polyglass 165 V1 and the 6x9 in the back.
You might want to listen to a pair of Diamond Audio Hex S600s or S600a. I have the S600s (with silk tweeters) in my R56 and love them. I put the 6.5 inch mid bass in the lower front and the tweeter in the upper front in a custom mount. Absolutely incredible sound!

Try this move your mouse over the search button, click advanced search, under search keywords type speaker+upgrade and under search forum select 2nd generation, and then read away. Remember reading is FUNdamental.
Sorry, I thought that post was supposed to be helpful, not one of the search **** posts. my bad.

Problem is that most of us don't have experience with more than one or two speaker brand/models. You can read reviews, but they are mostly written by people who have just bought one brand and haven't listened to many others.
It all depends on the type of sound you want, and music you listen too, how loud you listen to it, etc...
There are soo many factors.
I've come to know Boston Acoustics as producing decent SQ and relatively loud acoustics. Not good for bass IMHO.
I like alpine type-Rs for all around music choices. They can deliver bass if you want it, without much distortion, as well as highs.
There are many other brands out there that are just as good though.
Mind you, a good head unit to control the sounds, and amplifier are key to achieving the exact sound you want.
