Why would you only want a 4 point Quick-fit harness and not the other type?

Does it make a difference if you are going to get a harness bar? I want to go this route in the future, and want to figure out what my best options are.

Are you talking about the rally quick-fit?

The only difference between the two is that the rally belt has a single center buckle. This is to make it a better fit when used with a Hans device. Not recommended if you don't use the Hans. The belts are a bit to close to your neck and will cause some discomfort.

No need to get a harness bar if you use the MINI specific Schroth 4 point belt.

It is the Quick-Fit that I have and I've come to the understanding now that a harness bar is not required. So I have a bar that is not doing me any good. I hope this discussion helps others to make up their mind about what they should and should not purchase.

So am I correct after reading thru this thread that I don't need to use a harness bar (in my case I've have the Stable Energies type bar) if I'm using the Shroth Quik Fit-Pro 4 point harnesses?? That is what I have for belts...

Cuz I'm about to pull off those B-Pillar covers and mount this bar....

Sorry guy's......didn't see that this thread continued onto page two!

Shroth Quik Fit-Pro 4 point harnesses do not use a harness bar, it connects to your existing seat belt mounting points.

Yes I know, I already have them installed but a friend had me going the harness bar route as well. I've decided not to use it after reading the thread.
