Change seat belts?

I was wondering if anyone had changed their seatbelts? I'm not talking about changing for new MINI seatbelts because yours were looking bad, but like actually swapping for a new seatbelt. Anyone have any experience with this? Can it be done? I know on Porsches the entire assembly can't be changed cause it would run the seat belt lock if you tried taking it apart. Does the same hold true for MINI's?

I think it'd be cool to have different colored seatbelts like porsche does, blue would be cool in my car...

Put the money towards harnesses
You can buy them in different colors and add pads as well if you want(even though you could do that now)
I am waiting to install 6pt. Schroths!!!

I don't track the car and I'd get annoyed having to buckle up with the harness multiple times a day. It's my daily driver and I get in/out of the car like 234234234 times a day. Had the Scroth Harness when I first got the car, needless to say I sold it.

So, does anyone have a diagram of the seatbelt locking mechanism? I'd be curious if you could take it apart in order to put a new seatbelt strap.

I think I found something. Looks like it could be a direct replacement for the OEM one, with the emergency lock on the retractor and all.

When you order something and get it installed, share some nice pics with us.

I use my 4 point schroth as my everday belt. You get faster at puting it on. It only takes me about 3x as long as a normal belt.

Can anyone that has actually taken apart the interior and seen the OEM seatbelt system tell us what they think about this possible replacement?

In the mean time, I ordered 3 swatches of shades of blue to see if any match the Lapis Blue leather...
