Hi guys a couple of questions for you, i am thinking of doing the 'joey mod' on my Xenons on my 06 mini and was just wondering:-

1) What kind of paint do/did you use for doing this? i.e was it high temperature resistant paint or just regular black paint and are there any side effects to useing the regular paint?

2) What kind of glue or adhesive do/did you use to re-assemble the headlamp lense to the light housing? Will also be fitting new black or carbon fibre headlamp rings to the car.

3) Whats the best colour? Flat/Matt black, Gloss black or saturn black?


I am also thinking about blackening out my door handles and my 'beltline' and was just wondering how you guys have done them, I assume it all gets done very carefully with high quality vinyle?

Any help or info you can give me will be very MUCH appreciated, thanks in advance Alistair (zimbo)

heard nothing but good things about his stuff.

 

I used Krylon Fusion paint on my xenons and it seems to be holding up fine. They don't even say on the can if it is satin, gloss or whatever, but it looks pretty glossy which is kind of what I wanted, to match my roof & black stripes.
