My New Seats
So I finally got around to taking pictures of my new Recaros that I installed a while ago. They are Recaro SRD's and I bought them from http://www.speedwaremotorsports.com/. Their shop also made the brackets to fit my car. All I had to tell them was the build date and the brackets fit with no modifications. I only had to buy shorter bolts to both it to the chassis. These seats are super comfy for my daily driver, but I wish I would have got the adjustable height mounts because they sat too low for me. For that fix I used about an inch worth of washers and now it sits perfect. Does any one have a better/safer fix than that though? Hope you all like them as much as I do.

Hey now, those look great!! I've got a set of Recaro A8's in black leather I'm going to install....may I ask how tall you are? I'll probably get the "height adjust" for mine....also through Speedware....how much was your set up? How did you handle the "air bag" issue?
Thanks for any info you can pass along...I want my install to be as "painless" as possible

As for the airbags, I wasn't sure how to install the resistors or what type so I have the warning light on. But since the warning light doesn't effect the functionality of the other bags, I have yet to install a resistor and have the light turned off. Think of it as mood lighting.
the dealer can reprogram the airbag system for you...they'll charge you an hour of labor.
for the resistors, cut the yellow plug off and put a resistor across the leads. best to solder it on, then tape it up. be sure to keep the plug in case you ever go back to stock. I needed 2.5ohm for mine....be sure to use 1/2 watt or larger.

Thanks for all the nice comments. And PGT, I think I'd rather have the light on then go to the dealer for that price. Maybe my local shop can do it for me. And should it be 2.5 ohm for mine as well or does it differ?
you have to measure. agreed on the price - ripoff, and mine's back on even after a second trip. they pretend they're doing me a favor not charging me a second time, yet, I feel the $$ spent was a ripoff since it didn't even stick

Thanks for the info. The light doesn't really bother me so I might not even bother to fix it. But I am taking them out soon to fix a few things, so maybe I'll just do it then.
