How to Remove Toggle Ring/Divider

Can the toggle rings/dividers be removed without removing the whole toggle switch panel? I would like to remove to paint orange to match my interior.

Thanks for the help and any hints.

Now you've gone and done it. I've come down with "toggle envy."

Agreed. They're very easy to remove with the panel off (first unclip the front section from the rear) but they're just not designed to be removed in place.

It's not tough to remove the panel - see Ian's instructions here.

You might want to ask Ian or post an ad in Marketplace - many toggle panels have been cannibalized for their toggles. Might let you paint the toggle rings in advance and have them ready to go when you pop out the toggle panel.

Maybe mine have been different, but I haven't had any trouble removing the rings from 2 MINIs. Just thread a shoelace or somesuch thru the ring and YANK! They pop off without damage (in my experience). YMMV

Well, I finally did it. No shoestring required - it was actually quite easy to do. Take a look at the gallery and let me know what you think.
